BSF is hosting the second annual Greenville CAN’s Adaptive Recreation Day (formerly Adaptive Play Day), a free family-friendly event on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. in partnership with Greenville’s Kroc Center.
Adaptive Recreation Day will be hosted at Greenville’s Kroc Center, located at 424 Westfield St. in downtown Greenville, and is free for individuals with disabilities, their family members and friends, who want toplay and interact through games, sports, and activities for all ages and all abilities. Some sports programs exhibiting at Adaptive Recreation Day include basketball, yoga, swimming, cycling, baseball, dance, pickleball, equine therapy, and more.
“We are fortunate to have so many organizations and businesses creating recreational and sports opportunities for individuals with disabilities in Greenville,” said Lara Ceisel, executive director of the Barbara Stone Foundation. “There will be something for everyone from adaptive pickleball and yoga to personal trainers with certification to meet the diverse needs of the disability community.”

Greenville CAN’s Adaptive Recreation Day is planned by the Greenville CAN Recreation Team, which is made up of a coalition of individuals and organizations who share a common goal of making our community a better place to live for individuals with disabilities, with a vision for Greenville to be an inclusive community with equitable opportunities for all.
